Pre-Trial ConferenceFurther to our Newsletter 1/2026 published in February 2026, we bring you up to date on events from the Pre-Trial Conference held on 20 February 2026. Regrettably a further Pre-Trial Conference has been scheduled for 4 May 2026.Amogst a few other minor items, the primary reason for setting another Pre-Trial Conference date was that the previous Attorney representing the claimants had only submitted invoices up to 2023 to the Legal Aid Board, who is now representing the claimants. Some of the claimed items are under discussion within the Legal Aid Board, so this has not been paid as yet. The previous Attorney is now required to submit the balance of his claim. Further, the previous Attorney is refusing to hand over all the required documentation to The Legal Aid Board Advocate until he has been paid. Hopefully this matter should be resolved by the next Pre-Trial date. AdministrationAt the forthcoming Committee meeting members who are still substantially in arrears will be discussed and a decision concerning the termination of their membership will be taken. We again appeal to members who are in arrears with their subscriptions to bring their account up to date. Members are also urged to please scrutinise the content under “Administration” in our Newsletter Number 1/26: February to ensure that their account and property details are accurate.
